DE&I AND CSR COMMITMENT

FAULHABER is proud to be a member of 1% for the Planet, pledging to donate 1% of annual sales to support non-profit organizations focused on the environment.By contributing 1% of their annual sales, thousands of 1% for the Planet members have raised over $300 million to support approved environmental non-profits around the globe. Non-profits are approved based on referrals, track record and environmental focus. Thousands of non-profits worldwide are currently approved.

FAULHABER has and will continue to use its connections and creativity to bring sustainable practices to its clients and help brands give back. From ideating CSR-driven campaigns, to launching recycling programs, to using sustainable mailers, to hosting clothing drives, the agency has continued to make conscious actions to support its community.

FAULHABER is committing itself to sustainability not only through its 1% for the Planet membership, but through staff volunteering, waste consciousness and its client roster. The agency provides a paid volunteer day to every team member and has an internal Sustainability Committee to audit its own environmental footprint and introduce new practices.

FAULHABER believes we have a duty as businesses and humans to lead with purpose and commitment and to create powerful and effective change together. Learn more from President, Lexi Pathak, about the agency’s commitment to sustainability here. Interested businesses can join 1% for the Planet here.

FAULHABER supports entrepreneurial-minded women from across the globe to pursue their dreams through KIVA, a 501 non-profit organization that expands financial access for individuals through crowdfunding loans. Financial support allows for females to build their local business or further their education. Partnering with KIVA allows for economic and sustainable loans to meet people’s diverse lending needs.

In 2016, timed to the agency’s 15th anniversary, FAULHABER made a 15-year commitment to financially assist female students by creating the Faulhaber Communications Award. In partnership with Toronto Metropolitan University’s School of Journalism and School of Professional Communication, this annual financial award looks for one female student who demonstrates the ambition, focus, and drive it takes to become a senior leader in communications. In 2020, inspired by the social justice movement that ignited much needed change, FAULHABER permanently adjusted the award to give preference to BIPOC students to help foster future BIPOC communications leaders within the industry. The agency also extended the award for an additional five years, taking this award until 2036.

Over the years, FAULHABER has supported various not-for-profits including but not limited to War Child Canada, Ovarian Cancer Canada, Toronto Fashion Incubator, Canada’s design museum Design Exchange and Canadian Cancer Society. In 2020, in partnership with Blackjet and Impossible Studios, FAULHABER supported #CreativityForGood, an initiative that offered pro-bono services to businesses that were hit hardest by the global pandemic.
