DE&I and CSR

DE&I AND CSR COMMITMENT

Faulhaber Communications is committed to evolving our business to ensure diversity, equity and inclusion are integrated into our agency DNA. We analyze how we do business, who we hire, who we work with, and what we say, to ensure it all contributes to the change the world needs now. FAULHABER is committed to long term sustained action – this requires time, effort and learning grounded in actual experience. We believe there is unity in diversity and that inclusive work environments allow people and our organization to thrive. Individuals have different unique abilities and capacities but in an inclusive environment everyone’s strengths and contributions are encouraged, supported and leveraged.

FAULHABER is a member of 1% for the Planet and its global network of businesses, individuals and non-profit organizations tackling our planet’s most pressing environmental issues. 1% for the Planet is based on the pledge that you will donate 1% of your annual sales, regardless of your profits, to support non-profit organizations that are working to protect our planet.

FAULHABER supports entrepreneurial-minded women from across the globe to pursue their dreams through KIVA, a 501 non-profit organization that expands financial access for individuals through crowdfunding loans. Financial support allows for females to build their local business or further their education. Partnering with KIVA allows for economic and sustainable loans to meet people’s diverse lending needs.

In 2016, timed to the agency’s 15th anniversary, FAULHABER made a 15-year commitment to financially assist female students by creating the Faulhaber Communications Award. In partnership with Toronto Metropolitan University’s School of Journalism and School of Professional Communication, this annual financial award looks for one female student who demonstrates the ambition, focus, and drive it takes to become a senior leader in communications. In 2020, inspired by the social justice movement that ignited much needed change, FAULHABER permanently adjusted the award to give preference to BIPOC students to help foster future BIPOC communications leaders within the industry. The agency also extended the award for an additional five years, taking this award until 2036.

Over the years, FAULHABER has supported various not-for-profits including but not limited to War Child Canada, Ovarian Cancer Canada, Toronto Fashion Incubator, Canada’s design museum Design Exchange and Canadian Cancer Society. In 2020, in partnership with Blackjet and Impossible Studios, FAULHABER supported #CreativityForGood, an initiative that offered pro-bono services to businesses that were hit hardest by the global pandemic.
