Account Manager / Senior Account Manager - Travel, Retail & Design

We are hiring an Account Manager and/or SR Account Manager – Travel, Retail & Design to join our team. Candidates must possess an entrepreneurial spirit, a keen understanding of how to run successful integrated PR campaigns and have relevant experience working in the industries of travel, retail and/or design.  We are looking for a minimum of 5+ years of relevant work experience for an Account Manager and 6+ years for a Senior Account Manager. Preference will be given to a candidates that have agency experience. This is a hybrid role with two+ days per week in our Toronto office. Preference will also be given to candidates who reside in Toronto, however candidates located in Vancouver or Montreal may apply, for remote roles.

The ideal candidate will have experience planning, executing and managing a team to deliver best in class integrated PR campaigns. This includes but is not limited to client management, media relations, influencer campaigns, events, social media management and direct to consumer activations. Strong communication, presentation and project management skills are a must.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism or related field
  • Preference given for experience within agency environment
  • Ability to run integrated PR campaigns from concept to execution
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and proven experience building and maintaining client relationships
  • Experience training/overseeing junior team members
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment managing multiple projects, deliverables and client relationships simultaneously
  • Self-starter; ability to work in a remote/hybrid environment
  • Experience working with and tracking influencer campaign performance
  • Expert project management skills; process and detail oriented
  • Experience in the areas of fashion, beauty, cannabis or wellness marketing a plus

Main Responsibilities:

Client Management:

  • Develop strong strategic and creative PR strategies that deliver ROI
  • Manage day-to-day delivery of all assigned clients; responsible for achieving client KPIs
  • Manage account team to deliver all client administration functions on allocated projects/accounts, inclusive of communications, marketing, digital work and public relations per agency standards
  • Manage client calls and presentations
  • Ensure client weekly TO DO meetings happen with account teams; report to Director and/or Vice President
  • Oversee Workback schedules and budgets
  • Ensure all client deadlines are met through proper management of the team and approval processes
  • Ensure all client billing is accurately recorded and approve team expenses; drive profitability of assigned accounts
  • Maintain in depth knowledge of Canadian media landscape, continuously building relationships in the required industries
  • Manage and approve media and influencer lists and outreach
  • Attend Desksides, Media Junkets and events
  • Create, manage and deliver verbal and physical pitches to media– deliver consistent “big wins” consisting of larger features and bigger media placements
  • Manage team to create and send e-blasts, press releases, media kits, develop events and execute influencer campaigns in an effective and timely manner
  • Responsible for proofreading press releases, press kits, e-blasts and client newsletters
  • Act as the agency spokesperson for interviews and public appearances as required
  • Provide media training to clients and manage client TV appearances
  • Oversee all reporting

Agency Deliverables:

  • Network and act as an ambassador to the agency
  • Manage and update media, influencer and vendor lists
  • Achieve assigned agency KPIs across Sales & Marketing; Delivery, and Operations
  • Support new business development including active outreach and participating in new business pitches
  • Support HR including hiring, training, performance reviews, onboarding, culture activities, etc.
  • Represent and exceed professional standards of Faulhaber Communications at all times

Compensation: $70,000 – $85,000; part of all-agency bonus plan, 2 weeks vacation plus an additional 10 FAULHABER paid vacation days; summer and winter hours; comprehensive benefits package
