MODEL MONDAY: Jordan
November 14, 2016
Meet Jordan. For him, modeling runs in the family. This ex-hockey player joined his sister's modeling agency just over a year ago and has blown up since securing countless editorials, making his runway debut at Toronto Men's Fashion Week 2016, and even playing the lead role in a Brett Kissel music video.
Q: Tell us about yourself – what makes you, you?
I am a hockey player turned model. I have been modeling with Spot 6 just over a year. My sister had modeled with the same agency, so after playing hockey I moved to the city connected with them and have been modeling full-time ever since.
Q: What drives you out of bed in the morning?
Work. I am an extremely motivated person, if I have a day off I always want to be doing something productive.
Q: What do you love about your career?
Traveling, seeing new places, and meeting new people. Every day, I am connecting with people that can help me down the road.
Q: What advice do you have to those aspiring to be successful in the modeling industry?
Be patient, everything doesn’t come at once. Staying positive and upbeat.
Q: How do you stay fit?
I try not to binge eat while I binge on Netflix and I go to the gym every day. it’s always been part of my lifestyle.
Q: What is your favourite cheat snack/meal?
Any baked good. Cakes are my kryptonite.
Q: Who is your role model and why?
My role models are mom and dad for me the way they’ve raised me and my sisters. My dad immigrated from Italy to Canada and my mom was born here and has a strong work ethic.
Q: What is your most memorable photoshoot that you have been featured in?
I was featured in Brett Kissel’s ‘Cool With That’ music video. It was a great experience and I loved trying new things like shooting underwater.
Q: When you’re not modeling or working where can we find you?
I try to spend time catching up with friends whenever I can. If I’m not hanging out with them, I’m probably doing something active like playing basketball.
Q: Stranded on an island what would be the one thing you have with you?
I would have a jet ski or boat. I definitely don’t want to be stranded, unless it was a cool island like Madagascar or something.
