#FSQUAD: Jackie's Key Learnings
July 26, 2017
Analytical and creative, Jackie Paré, brings a fresh approach to PR. From her time as an intern up to her recent promotion to Senior Account Executive, Jackie is sharing her key learnings aquired at FAULHABER.
What was your biggest learning?
Ask for what you want. As Christine always says, “If you don’t ask, you don’t get.” New brand you want to work on? A project you want to drive? People are too busy to try and read minds, and even if they wanted to, that’s impossible. You perform best when you work on something that excites you, so go grab on to that.
What is your favourite project or a project you were excited to be part of?
I really loved working with amazing fashion distribution company, Ben & Boule Trading, to launch Olivia Burton London in Canada. This is a spectacular brand that marries vintage inspirations with catwalk trends; they design the most lovely watches for women and a great price point! I really believe in the product and had a blast sharing these styles with our top media last summer at our official media launch. Along with a Build your Own Daisy Bouquet station and colourful, vintage teacups, we enjoyed a brunch on the sunny terrace at Colette. It was great to see everyone so receptive to the brand offering.
What is your advice for future PR's?
Adaptability is key. We work in an environment where you find yourself in a tough situation that popped out of nowhere and where no two days are the same. It’s important to frame in your mind new challenges as opportunities to stretch yourself. Embrace new types of projects, unsettling environments and personalities that are outside your comfort zone with a positive, curious energy. This is how you grow and become stronger.
